"It came amid media reports that Qatar and Saudi Arabia are building up deliveries of armaments to Syrian militants who are trained at bases in Turkey and Jordan by U.S. and French instructors," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry stressed that unlimited military support for the Syrian opposition completely contradicts the efforts to seek a political settlement there.
It also slammed the United States for "ungrounded" accusations that Moscow's support for Damascus allegedly heightened tensions in Syria.
"In reality, the legal Syrian government has already expressed its will to participate in the international conference under U.S.-Russia initiative," the ministry said.
Last Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that Russian support of Syrian President Bashar Assad has led to mounting tensions in the Arab country.
"Russia, while ostensibly looking for this political solution, has also made it possible for Assad to join forces with the Iranians as well as with Hezbollah and wage this higher-level, higher-intensity war against his own people," said Kerry. Endi
