Eight soldiers were wounded in roadside bomb ambush on Thursday morning in the restive southern province of Yala.
Soldiers from the teacher protection unit from the 12th special unit in Yala's Raman district were on patrol unit early Thursday when their vehicle was caught in a roadside bomb ambush in Balo sub-district.
The explosion wrecked the truck and eight men were wounded and sent to Raman Hospital.
The authorities cordoned off the area to inspect the scene and gather evidence.
