Uganda's national football team Cranes has entered residential camp with the team Coach Milutin ' Micho' Sredojevic dropping some of the players ahead of their crucial weekend second leg tie against Tanzania in the 2014 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).

Joseph Mutaka, the Cranes media officer (CHAN) communicated told Xinhua that the coach and his technical team had decided to exclude the players because of under performance during training. The other players excluded include Proline FC's William Wadri.

Midfielders Ronald Muganga (SC Villa) and Willy Kavuma (Express FC) were among the players dropped.

While Muganga traveled with the team for the first leg, the Express skipper Kavuma was only summoned last week.

Defender Savio Kabugo is also doubtful for the game after sustaining an ankle injury last week during training. Ibrahim Kiiza from Victors FC is on stand-by in case Kabugo fails to pass the fitness test on Wednesday.

The Cranes will host Taifa Stars of Tanzania on July 27 in the return leg of the 2014 CHAN qualifier at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The regional champions carry a slim 1-0 win after seeing-off the Tanzanians in the first leg played on July 13 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Cranes 25-man team entered residential camp on Monday, eager to qualify for a second CHAN event after making it to the 2011 event held in Khartoum, Sudan.
