Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen observed "Steadfast Jazz" military exercise at the military area in Drawsko Pomorskie, northern Poland on Thursday

"Solidarity is NATO's most important principle, the Steadfast Jazz exercise will help map changes underway in the Alliance," Komorowski said.

NATO is staging the military exercise, the biggest in seven years, this week in the Baltic countries and Poland.

The exercise involving 6,000 soldiers from the alliance as well as Sweden, Finland and Ukraine is based on a fictional scenario in which troops from the imaginary state of Bothnia invade Estonia.

Rasmussen said that the military exercise was of substantial importance to the alliance, saying that it was "more than just a test for our forces". Endi
