A shallow undersea-quake measuring 5.5 Richter scale jolted Aceh in northern tip of Sumatra Island of Indonesia earlier Wednesday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said here.
The quake hit at 08:51 a.m. Jakarta time (01:51 GMT) with epicenter at 674 km southwest Simeuleu District of Aceh Province, and with a depth of 10 km under sea bed, an official of the agency told Xinhua over phone.
