Gambian president leaves for 4-day working visit to Saudi Arabia

Gambian President Yahya Jammeh and first lady Zainab Zuma Jammeh are heading a high-powered delegation for a four-day working visit to Saudi Arabia, the Presidency announced on Monday.

The delegation is on a trip to strengthen ties with the Arab kingdom, where the Gambian leader will sign a bilateral agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud.

Their discussions will cover the economic development of Gambia, especially in the field of infrastructure.

With decades of diplomatic ties, Saudi Arabia and Gambia agree to work hand-in-glove as sister countries, according to the Presidency. Endi
