The Houston Rockets rallied past the Denver Nuggets 130-125 in overtime Sunday night at Toyota Center, keeping a two-game winning streak.

The Rockets started slow in the contest and was five points behind the Nuggets at the end of the first quarter. But they came alive in the second, outscored Denver 47-25 and led by 17 points at halftime.

The Nuggets cut the deficit in the third quarter and tied the game to 88-88 entering the fourth quarter. Houston nearly lost the game when lagging three points behind with seconds remaining, but James Harden drained the much-needed 3-pointer and sent his team into overtime.

Once given another chance, the Rockets took control of the game. Francisco Garcia nailed a corner 3-pointer before Chandler Parsons hit two more, giving the Rockets a 130-122 lead with 1:54 remaining. Denver tried but couldn't overturn the race.

Harden finished with 32 points and 10 assists while Omer Asik had a season-high 18 points and matched his career-high with 23 rebounds. Jeremy Lin added 19 points for Houston.

Evan Fournier scored 26 points for Denver and Aaron Brooks added 24 points and 15 assists against his former team.

The win improved Houston to 51-25 on the season while the Nuggets fell to 33-44. Endit
