Vietnam, Bulgaria aim for strategic partnership

Vietnam and Bulgaria on Monday discussed the implementation of a new economic cooperation model put forward by the two countries' leaders during the visit of Bulgarian President to Vietnam in 2013, aiming to lift bilateral ties to Strategic Partnership in the future.

During talks with his Bulgarian counterpart Plamen Oresharski in Hanoi, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the country always attaches importance to strengthening traditional and multi-faceted ties with Bulgaria.

Bulgaria considers Vietnam as a strategic partner in the Southeast Asia, said the Bulgarian guest, hoping Vietnam to see Bulgaria as a gateway for Vietnam to expand cooperation with other European countries.

During their talks, the two leaders agreed to further cooperation in all fields, especially in economy, trade and investment, education, tourism and defense to celebrate the 65th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties.

The two sides signed memorandums of understanding on agriculture, livestock breeding and fishery cooperation as well as cooperation on culture and tourism after the talks. Endi
