President of the Italian Senate Pietro Grasso will arrive in Tirana on Monday for a two-day official visit to Albania to promote relations between the two countries, according to the ATA news agency.

During his visit, Grasso is expected to hold separate meetings with President Bujar Nishani, Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta, Prime Minister Edi Rama, as well as with the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha.

In addition to these meetings, Grasso and the prime minister will open on Monday the first Italian Week in Albania, a three-day event on the investment opportunities and potential of Italian companies in some priority sectors in Albania.

In an activity organized by the Italian Cultural Institute, Grasso, former anti-mafia magistrate, will present two of his books that have been translated into Albanian: "Per non morire di Mafia (No Death of Mafia)" and "Lezioni di Mafia (Lessons of Mafia)."

Grasso will also deliver a lecture under the topic "Italy and Albania together for Europe of the future" at Tirana University, and is expected to receive the title of "Honoris Causa" -- an honorary degree -- at a special ceremony. Endi
