Croatian FM calls on citizens to vote for EP election

Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Vesna Pusic on Friday called on citizens to vote in European Parliament (EP) election, which was scheduled on May 25.

Pusic, also foreign and European affairs minister said that citizens "use your power go to the polls and decide who will run Europe."

Speaking at celebration of Europe Day in Zagreb, Pusic said Croatia, as small country, can have influence in the European Union (EU) but must well-prepared, adding that is why the election is so important.

Croatian voters will cast their ballots at 6,337 polling stations to election 11 members of EP for a five-year term. It will be the second of its kind for Croatian voters since the country joined the EU in July last year.
