The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in Sarajevo on June 28 to mark the 100th anniversary of the assassination that triggered the World War I, organizers said on Wednesday.
The concert will take place inside the City Hall of Sarajevo, which reopened in May after it was destroyed 22 years ago in the 1990s war.
A total of 105 members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra will perform under the baton of Franz Welsr-Most, the Director of the Vienna State Opera.
Among works to be played are "Ode to joy", or the anthem of Europe, and Josef Strauss's waltz "Palms of Peace".
