Afghan security forces raided Taliban hideouts along the border with Turkmenistan and have killed over a dozen militants, a senior police officer in the western region said Tuesday. "In the wake of Taliban attacks on the border forces of Turkmenistan, the security forces launched operations and have killed 14 Taliban insurgents and arrested five others,"police officer Mohammad Juma Adil told Xinhua.

The militants have killed six personnel of Turkmenistan's border forces over the past month along the common border with Afghanistan, the official added.

Taliban militants have yet to make comment. Endi
