The 13th International Sand Sculpture Festival opened here on Thursday in Peter and Paul Fortress.
This year's event, with the theme of "Treasure Island," has once again attracted world-class sculptors, with a range of sculptures depicting characters and scenes from classic tales, including "Robinson Crusoe" and "Gulliver's Travels."
The sculptors have made their sand scupltures over the past week. These sculptures will remain on display for the rest of the summer after an evaluation by a local jury.
Visitors who are interested in learning the tricks of the sand-sculpting trade can join a series of workshops and master classes with leading sculptors. Endi
