Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said Wednesday in a statement that the international investigation team, led by the Netherlands, had decided to pass the black boxes to the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) for forensic analysis.

"It is normal procedure for black boxes to be sent for analysis to the nearest laboratory authorized by the International Civil Aviation Association," he said. (Malaysia-MH17-Black Box)

BANGKOK -- The Thai military junta, or the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), on Wednesday disclosed details of a royally-endorsed interim constitution which grants amnesty to coup makers and empowers the NCPO chief to give orders when deemed necessary.

The 48-section interim charter was endorsed by the king and then promulgated on Tuesday, granting amnesty to NCPO members who staged the May 22 coup to depose a civilian government and those who have acted on NCPO orders. (Thailand-Interim Charter)

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan -- One Afghan police was killed and three others, including a district police chief, injured in a suicide bombing in Kunduz city, the provincial capital of northern Kunduz province, on Wednesday morning, a source said.

"Chardara District police Chief Ghulam Mehoiddin was travelling to his office. A militant detonated his explosive vest on a narrow bridge while the official's car was passing by, killing one police and injuring three others, including Mehoiddin," the provincial police spokesman Sayyed Sarwar Housini told Xinhua. MELBOURNE -- Australian government on Wednesday reassured its commitment on the search operation for the missing Malaysian flight MH370.
