Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Thursday said it welcomes the open-ended ceasefire in Gaza, and urges "all sides to comply fully with the ceasefire agreement so as to stop the cycle of violence."
In response to media queries on the ceasefire agreement regarding the conflict, MFA spokesman said, "we hope that the cessation of hostilities would allow for humanitarian relief to be delivered quickly and pave the way for further negotiations towards a durable peace."
The open-ended truce came into effect Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. local time, after Egypt brokered an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian factions, including Hamas that controls Gaza.
