EU film festival to be held in Yangon

The 23rd European film festival will be held at Nay Pyi Taw Cinema in Yangon from Sept. 25 to Oct. 5 aimed at forging cultural links between Myanmar and Europe, according to Embassy of Switzerland here Friday.

The 11-day film festival is organized by embassies of Switzerland, France, Ireland and Israel, French Culture and Language Department, British Council and German Culture and Language Department (Goethe-Institut).

A total of 10 movies in various genres from six European countries and Israel will be showed at the festival.

These films on screen include Der Verdingbub (Switzerland), Das Finstere Tal(Germany), Philomena (United Kingdom), Ondine(Ireland), Camille Rewinds(France), Mine Vaganti (Italy), Footnote (Israel), Les Petites Fugues(Switzerland), Tales of the Night (France) and Sound of Heimat (Germany). Endi
