Blast in eastern Gaza kills 2: Medics

Two Palestinian men were killed and five injured on Friday afternoon when an undetonated Israeli bomb suddenly exploded in Sheja'eya neighborhood in eastern Gaza city, medics said.

Ashraf al-Qedra, the health ministry spokesman in Gaza, told reporters that Ayman Abu Jebba and Abdulla Abu Asser were killed and three others were injured in the explosion.

Witnesses said that an undetonated Israeli bomb was found near one of the destroyed houses in the neighborhood and when the residents tried to move it away, it exploded, killing two and wounding three others.

In July 8, Israel waged air and ground large-scale offensive on the Gaza Strip, which lasted for 50 days, ended in Aug. 26 and killed 2,145 Palestinians and wounded 11,100 others.

The offensive on the coastal enclave ended in accordance to a cease-fire agreement Egypt has brokered between Israel and Hamas- led militant groups. Endi
