Jordan arrests 11 IS members coming from Syria

Jordan on Sunday arrested 11 members of the Islamic State (IS) militant group who entered the country from Syria, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

The members, affiliated with the IS, admitted that they came from Syria upon orders from IS leaders to target vital places in Jordan, according to the report, adding that they planned to spread panic among Jordanians and chaos in Jordan.

A house, which belonged to one of the detained members, exploded while these militants were making explosives, it said.

Jordan, which has borders with Syria and Iraq, has pledged to join all efforts to combat various kind of terrorist organizations, including the IS. Endi
