Greece's presidential election vote has been set for December 17, according to an official announcement on Monday.
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has notified outgoing President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias and the Parliament Speaker Vangelis Meimarakis for his decision to bring forward by two months the vote in the assembly, requesting that the first round be conducted next week, the government's spokeswoman Sophia Voultepsi said.
