An Afghan reporter has succumbed to the wounds he sustained in a suicide bombing earlier this month, reported local media on Sunday.

"Cameraman of the Mitra Television Network, Zubair Hatami, who was wounded in a suicide attack at French Cultural Center, has succumbed to injuries," Khamma Press reported in its website.

On Dec. 11, a teenage suicide bomber blew himself up as hundreds of artists and students were watching a theatrical show at French Cultural Center in French-built Estiqlal High School in central Kabul, killing one German citizen and injuring 20 others.

Afghan government Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah expressed sorrow over the death of the ill-fated male reporter.

"I am sending my sincere sympathies and condolences out to siblings and friends of Zubair," Abdullah said in his twitter account.

The Taliban insurgent group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

More than 3,180 civilians were killed and nearly 6,430 others wounded in conflicts and Taliban-led attacks from Jan. 1 to Nov. 30 this year, according to official figures released by UN mission in the country. Endi
