The death toll of Tuesday's rocket attacks that targeted Ukrainian military headquarters and a residential area in Kramatorsk town in eastern Ukraine rose to 11, an official said.

Irina Gerashenko, Ukrainian President's envoy for settling the situation in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, said that the attacks left four Ukrainian soldiers and seven civilians dead.

Meanwhile, the press service of Donetsk regional administration put the number of those wounded in the rocket strikes at 58 people, including 32 government troops.

According to the press service of the Defence Ministry's General Staff, the rockets were fired from a Smerch multiple launch system against Kramatorsk from the direction of the rebel- held Gorlovka town.

Meanwhile, the rebel-run Novorossia news agency, citing its own sources, said that the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist group, the Right Sector, was responsible for the deadly shelling.

Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office said that a criminal investigation was launched into the incident.
