China, Cambodia vow to enhance cooperation on law enforcement, security

China and Cambodia have vowed to further enhance bilateral cooperation on law enforcement and security.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen on Saturday, Guo Shengkun, Chinese state councilor and public security minister, said the China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation has been deepening.

"China will continue to work with Cambodia to carry out all agreements that the leaders of the two countries have reached," he said. "Undoubtedly, China will continue to cooperate with Cambodia in the fields of law enforcement and security for mutual benefits. "

For his part, Hun Sen said traditional and non-traditional security issues have become a major challenge for the development and stability of countries in the region.

The prime minister said Guo's visit was vital to deepening the bilateral cooperation on law enforcement and security, expressing his confidence that the cooperation will further contribute to stability and development for the two countries.

On the same day, Guo also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng, and they witnessed the signing of documents on law enforcement and security.

Sar Kheng said the cooperation is essential for the two countries to work together to fight trans-national crimes in order to maintain peace and security for the peoples of the two countries. Endi
