FIFA and the Chinese Football Association (CFA) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the home of FIFA in Zurich, in an effort to create synergies with the Chinese national plan for football announced earlier this year by Chinese government.

The agreement was signed by FIFA President Blatter and CFA President Cai Zhenhua.

In 2011 China and FIFA signed a similar agreement to enforce CFA's in-house capacity and experts in governance, management and technical areas.

According to officials, between 2011 and 2014, FIFA has provided a total of 130 courses to CFA, mainly in the fields of technical support, refereeing and management.

"Through this cooperation, we want to continue making concrete contribution to the future of Chinese football as part of FIFA's core mission," said FIFA President Blatter.

"We highly appreciate FIFA's support in helping China to develop the full potential of football, we will endeavour to enlarge the scope of beneficiaries of our cooperation," CFA President Cai Zhenhua said. Endit
