Tokyo stocks rebound despite concerns over Greece

Tokyo stocks rebounded firmly Tuesday following steep declines the previous day, but gains were limited amid a sense of unease over Greece's ongoing debt crisis.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average jumped 264.47 points, or 1. 31 percent, from Monday at 20,376.59. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 16. 87 points, or 1.04 percent, higher at 1,637.23.

Gainers were led by utilities, agriculture and fishery, and air transport issues.

The turnover was 2,317.93 billion yen (about 18.90 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
