At least two people were killed and two others injured due to weather disturbance affecting central and northern parts of the Philippines, the state disaster management agency said Wednesday.

Metro Manila, the country's capital, and other parts of the country have been experiencing monsoon rains due to the effect of typhoon Chan-Hom, locally named as Falcon, the state weather forecasting agency said.

It warned that monsoon rains which may trigger flash floods and landslides would be experienced over most regions in northern part of the country.

Classes in Metro Manila and nearby provinces were suspended Wednesday and some local government units have declared to continue the class suspension on Thursday. Endi
