Airlines in Singapore said they won't charge customers for changing fights to and from Bangkok following the bombing that rocked the Thai capital on Monday evening, reported Channel NewsAsia on Tuesday.

A Singapore Alirlines (SIA) spokesman said the carrier will waive fees for re-bookings or re-routings for customers holding confirmed tickets on SIA flights arriving in or departing from Bangkok, considering the current situation.

Jetstar Asia said its customers are entitled to make changes to their bookings over the next week. Change fees and fare differences will be waived. The airline added that customers should contact call centers or their travel agents to make changes.

Tigerair said that customers who have purchased their tickets and scheduled to fly to Bangkok between Aug. 18 and Sept. 17 can make changes to their flight date and destination without being penalized.

Low-cost carrier Scoot also said it will waive the change fees for re-bookings or a change in destination. Scoot added that customers who have bought a ticket to Bangkok but changed their mind can obtain a partial refund in the form of a Scoot travel voucher by using ChangYourFlight.
