Arrest warrants were issued Monday for two more persons suspected of involvement in Bangkok's bombing earlier this month.

According to National Police spokesman Pol. Lt. Gen. Prawut Thawornsiri, one of the suspects was identified as Wanna, alias Maisaloh, Suansan, a 26-year-old Thai female and native of Pang- nga province while the other is a male whom the police cannot identify either by name or by nationality as yet.

The police found bomb-making materials at an apartment on Bangkok's eastern outskirts of Minburi district, which was rented by the woman suspect and resided in by the unidentified male, of whom a portrait was sketched and copied for postings in public, the police spokesman said.

The issuance of the arrest warrants followed Saturday's raid on another apartment in Nong Jok district where a foreign male was arrested also alongside bomb-making materials allegedly similar to those used in the Aug. 17 bombing at a shrine near Rajaprasong intersection which killed 20 people and injured more than 100 others.

The foreign national suspected of involvement in the bombing has not been identified by name either.

It remains to be seen whether he may have been the same person whose portrait had been earlier sketched as a "white Arab" as shown in the closed-circuit TV footage at the scene of the blast. Endi
