Visiting Pakistan eased to a 131 victory over Zimbabwe in the first of three One Day Internationals against Zimbabwe on Thursday.

The hosts started their bowling session well taking three early wickets but they did not put that start to the best use allowing Pakistan to rally back and post a winning target of 260.

Mhammad Rizwan and Imad Wasim each scored a half century for the visitors as they as they put up a decent total with Luke Jongwe, Tinashe Panyangara, Graeme Cremer and John Nyumbu taking a wicket each.

Zimbabwe's chase got off to a slow start but the openers kept their wickets to see out the seam attack led by Irfan Mohammad but soon the pursuit took a nose dive.

Sean Williams was the highest scorer for Zimbabwe with 26 and most of the batsmen made solid starts yet failing to build on.

The two teams will compete Friday for the second match before they round off the series and tour on Monday with the third One Day International. Endit
