John Higgins continued his dominance  by beating world No.1 Mark Selby 9-4 in the semifinals at 2015 World Snooker international Championship here in Daqing, China.

The "Wizard of Wishaw" started the clash of titans with an early 3-0 advantage during which time Selby had only two points. After the 91-38 rare victory at the fourth frame, Higgins had two more straight frames down to lead by 5-1.

The world No.1 fought back in the seventh frame with a 58-point break. Both players agreed to rematch the eighth frame before Higgins hit the cue ball down to the ground and Selby won by 63-14.

The second session witnessed three straight victories of Higgins again. Selby had a 79-point break in the twelfth. He pulled Higgins' cue from behind as a joke at 39-70 in the last frame.

"Today I didn't have a lot of chances probably from the first frame when I missed the red in the middle pocket, it seemed to cost me three frames." said Selby, "I am happy to get the session 3-5 but John was too strong."

Higgins will face David Gilbert who ranks 40th in the world. Endi
