10 people killed in cargo plane crash in South Sudan

At least ten people were killed when a cargo plane crashed near Juba airport in South Sudan on Wednesday, according to government official and local media.

"A cargo plane crashed shortly after taking off from Juba airport on Wednesday," South Sudanese Information Minister Michael Makuei said.

He declined to give any information about the plane or its affiliation, but noted that "it belongs to a foreign country."

Meanwhile, Sudan Tribune, a local South Sudanese media, said 10 people were killed in the crash and two survived, including a child.

It noted that five Russian crew members and seven passengers were aboard the plane. Endit
