Rajoy vows to "do battle" to form stable gov't in Spain

Acting Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy on Tuesday insisted he would "do battle" to form a stable government made up of members of the Popular Party (PP), the Socialists and the center-right Citizens.

He reiterated Pedro Sanchez, the leader of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) was reluctant to collaborate with the PP.

Rajoy said stability was the "formula" Spain needed for the future.

"All economic indicators show Spain in 2015 was better than Spain in 2011. But there is still a long way to go and we should remain on the same road which made this scenario possible," he added.

Meanwhile, the IMF raised its prediction for growth in Spain to 2.7 percent for 2016 and 2.3 percent for 2017. Endit
