The Montenegrin government survived a confidence vote in parliament on Wednesday with support of an opposition party, but lost votes from its own coalition partner.

The confidence motion was proposed by Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic due to a conflict with coalition partner, Social Democratic Party, which has been rebelling against Djukanovic's economic policy and voted against the motion with several other opposition parties.

Djukanovic's government managed to win by 42 votes to 20 out of a possible 81 votes. The remaining members of parliament were not present.

The result was decided with crucial support from the opposition Positive Montenegro party. Djukanovic promised to draft opposition representatives into the government, ministries and other institutions. Djukanovic said a representative from an opposition party could get one vice-president seat.

The current Montenegrin government was formed in December 2012. Its mandate expires at the end of the year. Endi
