Ghana' s loss to Japan attributed to inadequate preparation

The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Akenten, has attributed the home-based Black Stars' 3-0 loss to Japan' s U-23 in an international friendly to inadequate preparation.
The two sides met in the MS&AD Cup 2016 - a charity match for Kyushu and Kumamoto earthquakes - hosted by the Japanese football association on Wednesday at the Best Amenity stadium in Saga.
Ghana conceded all the three first half goals in 30 minutes.
Shinya Yajima scored twice before Cayman Togashi added Japan' s third goal in the 30th minute.
According to Akenten, the Japanese U-23 side, which used the game to prepare for the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympics, was better on the day because they had prepared better ahead of the encounter.
"I don' t think Ghanaians should blame this team. The debate should be ill-preparation but it was for a cause," he said.
"The game was for a cause, but the CHAN team has been dormant and coming up against well prepared side just 10 days it will be difficult. Their goals came in the first 30 minutes and after they couldn' t score again," he told Starr fm in Accra.
The Japanese U-23 team will face Colombia, Sweden and Nigeria in Group B of the Olympic Games male soccer. Endit
