Authorities in eastern Indian state of West Bengal Tuesday halted boarding of an Air India flight and took it in isolation, following a bomb scare, officials said.

Boarding of passengers was stopped at Kolkata airport immediately after an Air India check-in counter received a telephone call claiming that there was a bomb in the flight.

The domestic flight destined for Guwahati city was took in isolation and subjected to thorough checking.

Reports said the call was made about 8:20 a.m. (local time) by a woman threatening to blow-off the plane.
