Resale prices for Singapore's public housing units built by Housing and Development Board (HDB) remain unchanged in the third quarter of 2016 compared with the previous one, according to HDB on Monday.

Resale Price Index (RPI), which provides information on the general price movements in the resale public housing market, was at 134.7 in the third quarter of 2016, said HDB in its flash estimate.

RPI for the full quarter and more detailed public housing data for the third quarter will be released on Oct. 28, HDB added.

The agency added that it will offer about 5,090 new flats in Bedok, Bidadari, Kallang/Whampoa and Punggol in its Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise in November this year. About 5,000 balance flats will also be offered in a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats exercise.

About 80 percent of the resident population in Singapore live in units built by HDB and sold to eligible households. Enditem
