TOKYO, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened marginally higher Monday as the U.S. Nasdaq composite index's rally late last week bolstered investor sentiment and lifted tech shares here early on.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average edged up 25.18 points, or 0.13 percent, from Friday to 20,157.85.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 1.75 points, or 0.11 percent, to 1,613.09.
Mining, iron and steel, and electric appliance-linked stocks comprised those that gained the most in early trade. Enditem
