FRANKFURT, June 26 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 37.42 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 12,770.83 points.

German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.73 percent. Commerzbank and Deutsche Post rose by 2.34 percent and 2.08 percent respectively.

Energy group RWE lost the most among the blue chips, falling 1.77 percent. German housing association Vonovia and multinational chemical firm Linde went down by 0.61 percent and 0.51 percent respectively.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 173.70 million euros (194.31 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
