JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Major indices on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) closed weaker on Thursday following an announcement that the repo rate will remain unchanged at 2.75 percent.
The all share index closed flat at 55,867.34 points, while the top 40 index traded 0.05 percent down to 49,548.85 points. The financial index lost 0.43 percent and the industrial index gained 0.11 percent.
Bucking thetrend, Naspers added 0.46 percent to trade at R2,985.4.
Richemont was 0.41 percent firmer at R118.84, and Aspen traded 0.13 percent higher at R303.7. Enditem
