BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- China's Hong Kong continued their winning run in the Women's Hockey Asian Challenge 2017, beating Pakistan 3-0 on Monday, after giving a good account of themselves on Sunday by demolishing the host Brunei 8-0.

Ranked 38th and 58th in the world respectively, China's Hong Kong and Pakistan have closer team quality. During the match, the two teams put a fiecer than expected fight, not as shown by the score as one side down.

"The Pakistani team played more dependent on their players' personal skills and breakthroughs, while we focus more on overall cooperation, which is the key to our win today," Amy Lip, team manager of the Hong Kong team told Xinhua.

The Asian Challenge was introduced by the Asian Hockey Federation in 2013 to provide the second-tier hockey teams in Asia with more opportunities to compete on the international level against opponents of a similar standard.

Three teams of China's Hong Kong, Brunei and Pakistan compete in the Women's Hockey Asian Challenge 2017. The top two of the round robin will vie for the title on Oct. 28 Enditem
