TOKYO, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares opened higher Monday on gains in U.S. stock market late last week.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 67.73 points, or 0.30 percent, from Friday to 22,618.58.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 3.59 points, or 0.20 percent, to 1,784.15.
Marine transportation, iron and steel, and electric appliance issues led gainers. Enditem
