TOKYO -- Giant panda cub Xiang Xiang celebrated her first birthday Tuesday at Ueno zoo in Tokyo, where she has become the zoo's most beloved attraction.

NEW DELHI -- The Indian government has identified as many as 3,000 additional secondary schools for nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among secondary school children across the country under the national "Atal Innovation Mission" (AIM), said an official release on Tuesday.

The mission is being run by the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI), or "NITI Aayog," which provides both directional and policy inputs to the government of India. (India-School Children)

Hong Kong -- The launch of Bond Connect has led RMB internationalization to a new phase, where international financial institutions can begin to use RMB to manage their balance sheet, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) Chief Executive Charles Li said here Tuesday.

Li made the remarks in his opening speech at HKEX's 5th Annual RMB Fixed Income and Currency (FIC) Conference. He said cross-border trading in RMB through Stock Connect (the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong stock connect programs) has been a key catalyst to increasing the use of RMB as an investment currency. NEW DELHI -- India has indigenously developed "lithium-ion" (Li-Ion) cells technology, said a scientist who worked on the project for five years.
