PRAGUE, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Czech President Milos Zeman on Wednesday morning appointed the second government of Prime Minister and ANO leader Andrej Babis at Prague Castle.

Babis' first minority cabinet of ANO failed to win confidence of the Czech Chamber of Deputies in January.

The second coalition cabinet of Babis is comprised of ANO and the Social Democrats (CSSD), which is to be supported by the Communists party (KSCM). The the Communists party will decide their stance on the government at the weekend.

Six current ANO ministers will remain in their post, they are Environment Minister Richard Brabec, Finance Minister Alena Schillerova, Regional Development Minister Klara Dostalova, Health Minister Adam Vojtech,Transport Minister Dan Tok, Education Minister Robert Plaga. The new ANO ministers are Defence Minister Lubomir Metnar, Justice Minister Tatana Mala, Industry and Trade Minister Marta Novakova. The new CSSD ministers are Labour and Social Affairs Minister Petr Krcal, Culture Minister Antonin Stanek and Agriculture Minister Miroslav Toman.

CSSD chairman Jan Hamacek, who is the new interior minister, is also to head of the Foreign Ministry. Miroslav Poche is the CSSD's official candidate for foreign affairs minister, but President Zeman did not appoint him. Previously, Zeman repeatedly stressed that he would not name Poche as diplomacy head due to his pro-migration stance and his position on Israel as well as his previous work in Prague politics.

Babis' second government is to ask for confidence of the Chamber of Deputies in two weeks. The government need the support of at least 101 MPs in the 200-seat Chamber of Deputies. ANO has 78 seats and CSSD has 15 seats, therefore they rely on support from the 15 MPs of the KSCM to win the confidence vote.

Zeman said he would come to the Chamber of Deputies before the confidence vote planned for July 11 to express his support for the government. Enditem
