PARIS, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Three French people were among scores of victims killed in motorway collapse in Italian city of Genoa, the country's foreign affairs ministry confirmed on Wednesday.
"We remain in contact with the Italian authorities to determine the possible presence of other French victims," it said in a press release.
"The Quai d'Orsay's crisis and support cell, our embassy in Rome and our consulate in Milan continue to follow the situation in real time," it added.
On Tuesday morning, about 100-meter section of Morandi Bridge collapsed amid torrential rains. At least 37 people were killed in what Italian authorities called "an immense tragedy," according to Italian media reports.
Built in late 1960s, the motorway links port city of Genoa with France's southern regions. Enditem
