BELGRADE, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Serbian Partizan qualified for the playoffs of the UEFA Europa League after beating Danish Nordsjaelland 3-2 on Thursday in Belgrade in the second leg of the third qualification round.

Nordsjaelland, the third-ranked team of the Danish Superliga, took the lead in the 9th minute, with a shot by Andreas Olsen from close range, and threatened to annul the 2-1 lead that the runners-up of the Serbian Superliga gained in the first match played in Farum, Denmark.

However, Partizan immediately responded with a quick passing action in front of the opponent's goal, with Ricardo attempting a powerful volley kick that ended in a corner. After a successful long pass from the corner, Nemanja Miletic headed in the equalizer on 11 minutes.

Turnaround for the Serbian team came in 30th minute, when after a counterattack Marko Jankovic caught the pass on the edge of the goal area and shook the net of goalkeeper Nikolai Larsen.

The third goal for the home team was the work of Svetozar Markovic in the 35th minute when he cashed in another corner kick with his head.

Nordsjaelland came back in the 76th minute, when Jonathan Amon struck the ball sent by his teammate and directed it into the net guarded by Partizan's capitaine Vladimir Stojkovic.

Until the end of the game the guests kept pressing looking for a scoring chance, but could not pass through the home team's defense.

Partizan who won by 5-3 on aggregate will play the next game against the 4th-ranked team of the Turkish Super Lig - Besiktas. Enditem
