BERLIN, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Filip Kostic from second division side Hamburg on loan, both clubs confirmed on Monday.

The "Eagles" have reinforced their squad with the signing of attacking midfielder Filip Kostic, who penned a loan deal for two seasons.

"With Filip Kostic we get exactly the type of player we need for our game. He is technically gifted, fast and purposeful. His qualities are known to football fans throughput Germany. We are convinced that he can help us soon," Frankfurt's sporting director Bruno Huebner said.

The Serbian international knows the Bundesliga business as he played two years for Stuttgart as well as Hamburg to score overall 17 goals in 120 appearances. Kostic is since 2015 part of Serbia' s national team and provided two goals in 26 caps.

"Filip Kostic is a seasoned Bundesliga player who has proven his skills many times. As a World Cup participant he also brings more experience into our squad. With Filip our flexibility will be considerably increased," Frankfurt's board representative Fredi Bobic said.

Eintracht Frankfurt will kick off their Bundesliga season against Freiburg on Saturday. Enditem
