RIYADH, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Saudi air forces intercepted on Friday a ballistic missile shot from Yemen towards border city Jazan, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The spokesperson of the Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen, Col. Turki Al Maliki, said that following the fresh attack reported on Friday evening, the number of missiles shot towards Saudi territories in the last three years has reached 195, causing 112 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

He said that the attacks by Iran-backed Houthi militias are against the international law, affirming the determination of the coalition to target Houthi rebels to get what they deserved of punishment.

Saudi Arabia has been leading the war in Yemen against Houthis since 2015 in support of the Yemeni government and to stop Iran's attempts to destabilize the regional security. Enditem
