JERUSALEM -- Israeli forces shot dead a knife-wielding Palestinian after he lightly injured a soldier in the West Bank city of Hebron on Monday, the military said.

DUBAI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) started a project based on artificial intelligence to tackle serious diseases like tuberculosis, a UAE's minister said Monday.

DAMASCUS -- Syria's deputy foreign minister said that Turkey must live up to its commitments to push extremist groups to withdraw from the demilitarized zone in northern Syria, local media reported Monday.

Speaking to the pro-government al-Watan newspaper, Faisal Mekdad said it's the responsibility of Turkey to push the rebels to commit to the demilitarized zone deal that was established between Turkey and Russia in September in Russian resort city of Sochi. (Turkey-Syria-Demilitarized Zone)

ISLAMABAD -- Russian troops arrived in Pakistan on Monday for joint military exercises. It is the third exercise as part of Pak-Russia bilateral training cooperation since 2016, according to an army statement.
