KIEV, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has to pay off 15.06 billion U.S. dollars of debts in 2019, the government-run Ukrinform news agency said on Friday, citing the country's Finance Minister Oksana Markarova.

Speaking at a media briefing, Markarova said the sum includes debt payments to both -- domestic and foreign creditors.

She emphasized that debt burden poses a challenge for implementing Ukraine's budget for next year, which was adopted earlier in the day.

The budget expected deficit at 2.3 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), economic growth at 3 percent, and inflation at 7.4 percent in 2019.

In August, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said that Ukraine's overall debt payments would reach 33 billion dollars in the coming five years. Enditem
