RABAT, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's navy rescued 47 migrants in the Mediterranean on Sunday, the Moroccan army said.
The Moroccan royal navy units on patrol in the Mediterranean sea found the migrants' boat in difficulty between the coasts of the northern cities of Nador and Hoceima, the same source pointed out.
The rescued migrants include three women and four teenagers, the source added, noting that they were carried safely to the port of Nador.
Morocco has witnessed a significant hike in illegal migration attempts till now in 2018.
According to the Moroccan Interior Ministry, the authorities have foiled some 68,000 illegal migration attempts between January and September. Enditem
