NEW DELHI -- An Indian air force (IAF) trainee aircraft crashed Wednesday in India's southern state of Telangana, officials said.

The pilot of the aircraft was injured after ejecting from it minutes before the crash. According to officials, he was immediately removed to hospital.

JAKARTA -- Pilot of Indonesia's Lion Air flight JT 610 was struggling to control the plane with faulty airspeed sensors and sent an urgent message to air traffic controllers before the crash that killed all 189 people on board, a preliminary report said on Wednesday.

SEOUL -- South Korea successfully test-launched a space rocket projectile Wednesday to test the country's first indigenously-developed space vehicle engine, local media reported citing the Ministry of Science and ICT.

SEOUL -- South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) had agreed to conduct a joint inspection on railways across the border from Nov. 30, Seoul's unification ministry said Wednesday.
